Export your data to CSV

Overview

Ramp supports many custom reporting setting for you and your business on Ramp to export. Here's a quick view of the reports you can export from Ramp and where you can access them.

In general, to download table data, click the download icon. This will kick off a CSV download in your browser or, depending on the file size, send it to you via email.

You must be an Owner or Admin to access reporting for your entire company. Manager reports will contain a CSV of data for their teams only.

Important: The Expenses and Accounting pages both offer card transaction exports, but they serve different purposes. Expenses exports are reporting only — they download transaction data without affecting your Accounting queue. Accounting exports are part of the sync workflow — committed exports can mark transactions as synced and remove them from the queue. For details, see Marking transactions as synced.

Available exports

Transactions Tab

Go to Expenses > Transactions. Admins and managers can customize the fields they want in their exports via "Export settings" from the download icon. The default export will only reflect the columns shown in the table view unless additional fields have been enabled. Split transactions will show up in this export.

Note: This is a reporting export. It does not mark transactions as synced or remove them from the Accounting queue. To export transactions as part of your accounting workflow, use the export from Accounting instead.

Default fields:

Additional fields that can be configured:

Expenses > Travel

Go to Expenses > Travel. Admins can export information from the Travel tab via "Export settings" from the download icon.

Out of Policy

Go to Expenses > Out of Policy. Contains the same fields as the Transactions Tab export, filtered to out-of-policy transactions only.

Declined Transactions

Go to Expenses > Declined Transactions.

Funds & cards

Go to Funds & cards. For security, card exports include only the last 4 digits of each card number. Full card numbers are not available in any CSV export. To view a full virtual card number, the card owner can reveal it from the card detail page.

Reimbursements

Go to Reimbursements > History. Reimbursement CSV Exports can be customized via "Export settings" from the download favicon. The default export will only reflect the columns shown in the table view unless additional fields have been enabled in the settings. You can search for a specific field/column you need to toggle on or off in the export settings.

Bill Pay

Go to Bill Pay > Paid. Admins and Owners can customize the fields they want in their exports via "Export settings" from the download favicon. The default export will only reflect the columns shown in the table view unless additional fields have been enabled. The level of detail can also be configured (include line item accounting or not).

Additional fields that can be configured:

Accounting

Go to Accounting > Card Transactions. Unlike the Expenses export, the Accounting export is part of the sync workflow — committed exports can mark transactions as synced and remove them from the Accounting queue.

How you export depends on your accounting integration:

Your setupHow to export
Direct ERP (such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero)From the Ready to Sync toolbar, open the sync-review flow. Choose Just download for a preview CSV, or Mark as synced to clear items from the queue without syncing to your ERP.
QuickBooks DesktopOpen the Review & Export flow and choose Export IIF file, a CSV export, or journal-entry CSV. Committed exports remove transactions from the Accounting queue. Statement payments are not supported in IIF.
Universal CSVClick Export all and choose the committed export format your accounting system expects. Committed exports remove transactions from the Accounting queue.

Note: The Needs Review and Waiting for Cardholder tabs do not have an export option. Transactions must reach the Ready to sync or Ready to export state before they can be exported from the Accounting page. To download a report of all card transactions regardless of sync status, use the export from Expenses > Card Transactions instead.

For the complete accounting export workflow, see Marking transactions as synced.
